A rich, red-wine color, yak meat is more delicious than beef. Although very lean, yak meat remains juicy and delicate in flavor, with no gamey taste whatsoever. This filet is super-lean and fork tender – no knife needed! See cooking suggestion under ‘Additional information.’

Additional information

Season both sides to taste. Grill or pan-cook over medium flame or heat, four minutes per side for medium rare, or broil as desired. Yak can easily catch fire on the grill due to all the healthy omega-3 oils, which you’ll see dripping out.
