Making Friends with Stress

Running with Technology

Stress is inevitable. Everyone experiences it at some point. Today, however, with our high-powered lifestyles and “always on” technology, being stress-free is becoming rare! Scientists tell us that stress is simply a stimulus moving an organism out of homeostasis. It’s how we handle that stimulus that makes all the difference.

Scintillating or Stressful Stimulus?

When the stimulus is exciting, we enjoy it (think of vacations, achieving goals, or learning new skills). After all, without positive stimulus in our lives, we’d just sit around like slugs, enjoying our homeostasis! However, when life’s various stimuli become more than we can handle, we experience “dis-stress.”

Researchers now know that long-term stress causes ill health in body and mind. It can exacerbate such ailments as gastrointestinal disturbances, depression, obesity, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, heart disease and asthma.1 2 Plus, stress seems to accelerate the rate of aging by 9 to 17 years, which (logically) leads to a reduced lifespan. That’s a powerful motivator to find a solution!

Suppress Stress? No!

When stress shows up, many people self-medicate with illegal drugs or alcohol,4 which presents its own problems. Others turn to conventional pharmaceutical drugs, like antidepressants and sleeping pills, both of which carry risks of negative side effects.5 6 Naturopaths teach that suppressing stress only drives it deeper into the body to cause even more serious and complicated health problems later.

Natural Alternatives

Herbal remedies, such as chamomile, valerian, kava kava or St. John’s wort are popular. However, some may have potential side effects and be contraindicated for some people.7 8 9 10 11 12 Another natural solution exists. It has no known negative side effects, no contraindications, and no risk of habituation. Safe for all ages, it is natural, yet is classified by the FDA as a pharmaceutical drug product. It positively affects and helps balance the whole person – body, mind, and emotions. It’s called homeopathy.

Life is Biochemical and Bioenergetic

Although nutrition supplements and homeopathy are both natural, they affect the body entirely differently.

Nutrition and herbs: are biochemical – the body must break food down into chemical building blocks for growth, repair and maintenance.

Homeopathy: is bioenergetic, meaning it works via the body’s bioelectrical network, just as acupuncture does. Homeopathic medicine has been used successfully and continuously worldwide for more than 200 years. However, during the past 40 years, Dr. King has made advancements, transforming the science into a unique, contemporary homeopathy, making it simpler to use and more wide-ranging in its reach.

About Dr. King’s Emotional De-Stressing Technique

Emotions have a powerful effect on our lives and health, for better or worse. Positive thoughts and beliefs help bring our health into greater balance. The reverse is also true regarding unresolved stressful situations – even if we don’t intellectually think they affect us. Stress that occurred, even in childhood, and not properly processed and released often shows up in our lives as recurring stressful situations or physical issues.

Now, you can learn how to release past traumas so they will no longer affect your life. Reclaim your power over your unconscious stress responses to these subconscious memories.

Release Past Traumas & Emotional Stress

The innate intelligence of the body can tell us more than our minds can.

In this video, Dr. King demonstrates how to hold certain spots on the forehead while going through a specific visualization process. These forehead prominences are emotional neurovascular reflex points (13).

If you have a “healing buddy” (14) Dr. King also demonstrates how you may both work together to access the innate intelligence and wisdom of the body through muscle testing. This safe technique has long been used by chiropractors and other natural practitioners, and it’s called Applied Kinesiology (AK).

About Dr. King’s Physiological De-Stressing Technique

Just as the psyche can store memories with attached emotions that negatively affect our health, so can the body store past emotional and physical traumas that can cause physiological stagnation and/or inflammation.

Acupuncturists and chiropractors work extensively with these energy flow patterns, called meridians. Dr. King teaches how everyone can improve their health by learning and practicing certain Hands On Healing Techniques (15).

The skull and face have many physiological reflex points (16) that relate to all areas of the body. When massaged, circulation is improved on those body meridians, which has a positive health effect and relieves physiological stress.

Even children can learn and benefit from this easy to learn technique. Learn how:

16 Cranial bone malalignments and their impacts on health were first put forth in the 1930s by an osteopath, William Sutherland. Chiropractors and osteopathic doctors are trained in therapeutic cranial manipulation and adjustments. The Riddler Reflex Technique was promoted by a naturopath and further refined by AK doctors and Dr. George Goodheart, a renowned AK practitioner.
